In 1968 Balestrieri and Pruett win the Trofeo Napoli on the Maltese Magnum White Tornado after some controversy on outside help. Apparently a can of oil was "borrowed" from a spactator boat and this was not allowed by the rules. |

The 1968 edition of the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes was not a happy outing for Balestrieri and his Tornado. After battling with the Levi designed Surfury Balestrieri's boat hits hard and starts taking in water. |
